The Fukushima institute for Research, Education and Innovation (F-REI) aims to be a world-class "Centre of excellence for creative restoration" that will serve as a dream and hope for realizing the reconstruction of Fukushima and the other parts of Tohoku region. It also aims to drive the strengthening of Japan’s scientific and technological capabilities and industrial competitiveness, and contribute to economic growth and the improvement of people’s lives.

福島国際研究教育機構 (F-REI: エフレイ) は、福島をはじめ東北の復興を実現するための夢や希望となるものとするとともに、我が国の科学技術力・産業競争力の強化を牽引し、経済成長や国民生活の向上に貢献する、世界に冠たる「創造的復興の中核拠点」を目指しています。
